Our kröll.Winkel interior design studio is located inside the heart of the extraordinairy Austrian alps. We take great pride in using the exceptional local materials that originate from the majestic mountains of Austria. From the rugged peaks of the Alps to the serene valleys, these stunning landscapes provide a rich tapestry of natural resources that have long been cherished for their beauty, durability, and unique characteristics. These materials not only add a touch of elegance and authenticity but also pay homage to the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship deeply rooted in these materials.
Through the years we have developed a beloved signature look based on long-lasting and excellently crafted exclusivity away from the masses. True wooden treasures are slumbering in our workshop. We have stored very fine and special local trees and woods. Woods like from the oldest tree from our home base Taxenbach or a unique 6500 year old moor oak. These woods are super unique and waiting for a special purpose. With inspiring ideas and skilled craftsmanship these pieces will be transformed into master pieces such as our signature Silver Stag tables.
We love to work with wood as it is a beautiful, warm and multi purpose natural material. It comes with many advantages like being durable and long lasting. It can be used for anything like furniture, floors, doors, wall paneling and so on. We mainly work with locally sourced woods from Austria like oak, eech, ash, chestnut, bog oak, walnut, elm and so on.

For centuries, natural stone has been used in interiors as a luxury, chic and timeless material. Stone is a beautiful base for any interior style and it can serve so much more than just flooring or countertops. In its massive form stone is a real eye-catcher. We prefer to work with the local marble of the Alps – Rauriser natural stone. The stone mine happens to be located just a few kilometers away from us, within the heart of the Hohe Tauern.

Glass lightens your home!
We love to use glass in our interior designs. Glass is noble and timeless and gives a room light and perspective. Homes look more open and welcoming. It can give a modern touch or on the opposite blend completely unnoticed in your interior. In combination with stone and wood there are innumerable design possibilities. For example we enjoy working with glass railing or our signature Swarovski lights for that extra exclusive look. As with everything we do, all of our glazier work is made in

Textiles in interiors give warmth and dimension
We love to combine our traditional craftsmanship with many different styles, textiles and textures. In our designs we only work with high quality materials. We prefer to work with natural materials from Austria. Materials like cotton, linen, wool, silk, felt, hemp, leather and many more.
